In the heart of Bolzano, where winding alleys meet venerable walls, new life has been pulsating since 2012 in the historic Batzenhäusl – today home to one of the most characterful breweries in South Tyrol: Batzen Bräu. Beer is not just brewed here – it is lived here.

Founded by free spirit and epicurean Robert “Bobo” Widmann, an idea gave rise to a vibrant place where craftsmanship, creativity and South Tyrolean joie de vivre meet. In the shade of centuries-old chestnut trees, beer is created that tells stories: of wild hop lust, smoky depth, sparkling freshness - and of the courage to break new ground. Batzen Bräu stands for diversity that can be tasted. From rustic dark beer to fruity Gose to barrel-aged Barley Wines - every beer carries character, every variety a soul. No wonder that awards from all over Europe flutter into the brewhouse. But more important than medals here: taste that touches.
