Josef's dream of the red apple

Many years later, a young man returned to his roots - with fresh ideas and a vision in his heart: Josef Holzner took over the farm in 2019 in the third generation. Between old rows of trees and new plantings, he found his muse: red-fleshed apples – mysterious, intense, almost poetic. They bore names like Baya Marisa and shone from within. Josef recognized her potential. What if you couldn't make an ordinary juice out of them, but something special, something sparkling, something solemn?

The birth of Sparkling Rocco

What began as an experiment – naturally cloudy apple juice, all pure, very raw – soon became a crowd favourite. Josef felt the enthusiasm that his juice triggered. But he wanted more: Inspired by balmy Italian evenings, aperitivo culture and convivial sparkle in the glass, he gave apple juice a new dimension – fine carbonic acid, refined by time, tranquility and craftsmanship.

In the spring of 2020, the time had come: Sparkling Rocco was born. A non-alcoholic aperitif, so lively, so different that it was sold out within a very short time. The first bottles sold very quickly – and Josef knew: This was just the beginning.

Thinking ahead together

Since 2023, Sparkling Rocco is no longer a one-man dream: In Florian Lair, Josef has found a companion who not only thinks along, but also empathizes. Together, they carry the Rocco spirit into the world - with heart and soul, passion and an uncompromising commitment to nature, origin and quality.

What makes Sparkling Rocco special

Each bottle contains 100% direct juice from the Baya Marisa variety, grown in South Tyrol's high altitudes. The apples are not only a miracle of colour, but also rich in anthocyanins – antioxidant plant substances that delight health and soul in equal measure. The juice is gently filtered, provided with the finest bubbles in cooled pressure vessels for several days and then bottled. The result: a taste profile reminiscent of rhubarb, currant and a hint of pineapple – fresh, lively, with character.
